Spring is just around the corner, the evenings are getting lighter, and the Covid-19 vaccine is being rolled out. Soon our children can return to school and gradually more and more businesses can reopen. People are now generally starting to feel more positive and there is hopefully an end in sight for this final lockdown. Things are on the up!As always it is a busy time at TheBOLDAge. We continue our campaign for the provision of a 24-hour, 7-day national dementia careline. The recent lockdowns have been a real challenge for many carers and the current lack of support is terrifying, this can’t continue. We continue to discuss and debate challenging topics. This month we ask if Assisted Dying should be made legal in the UK. A difficult question, but one we feel strongly about. However, its not all serious stuff! We have great fun producing our regular BOLDnews podcast, during which we discuss weird and wonderful news stories from around the world that have a caught our attention. It’s well worth a listen and can be found here.As I write this, the sun is shining, the sky is blue, and the world is feeling a better place. Lockdown may still be in place, but we are on the home straight. I for one hope life doesn’t entirely return to how it was. I have found people to be more polite, understanding and friendly during these difficult times. Let’s remember that as we move forward and continue to be kind to one other!
