I am thrilled to be the first rotating editor at TheBoldAge. As a fledgling community we are trying to find our feet, our heartbeat, our voice and as one bright spark in today’s virtual office said, our soul.

For me, I wanted to feature our DNA, the life force from which we build, the force that defines us. Whilst ageing is most definitely inevitable, how we age is not, and we want our DNA to focus on the ‘positivity of ageing’.

As committed Boldies we see this time in our lives as a period of opportunity, reinvention, and most certainly relevance. A period where we can add value and still change the world.

I’m fascinated by how we approach the world and each other. I hope the stories we feature this month resonate with you, even with life’s challenges. Let’s lead with: WE ARE! Not we were and I AM! not I was.

Nigel Pritchard | Monthly Editor

WE ARE, not we were!

Encouraging people approaching, and in, later years to live a longer, healthier, more active and fulfilling life.

As BOLDIES we see later life as an exciting journey. A period of opportunity, relevance and joy; a time for exploration and re-invention where we continue to add value to society.

This does not mean that we will shy away from difficult and challenging subjects, but as BOLDIES we want to show a positive attitude and spirit.

Simply put BOLDIES say WE ARE! not we were.
