    In 1587 Mary Queen of Scots was beheaded at Fotheringhay Castle after being convicted of plotting to assassinate Elizabeth I. She was 44 years of age.Hoof-like marks called the Devil’s Footprints, mysteriously appeared for over 60km in the snow in Devon after a snowfall in 1855.In 1952 Elizabeth II was proclaimed Queen of the United Kingdom.Malenkov resigned as USSR president in 1955 and was replaced by Bulganin.1965 saw The Supremes release the song ‘stop in the Name of Love’.The US Senate approved the formation of a committee to investigate the Watergate Bugging incident in 1973.The US space shuttle endeavour launched from the Kennedy Space Centre in 2010 and began a successful 2 week mission to the International Space Station.
